OUR HERITAGE

Via Ciauri, a London-based luxury fashion brand founded by sisters Sabrina and Mia Ciauri, intertwining their Sicilian heritage with global inspiration. Originating from Via Ciauri (Ciauri Street), a quaint street in the coastal town of Santa Flavia, the brand's essence lies in celebrating diverse cultures, communities, and locations through limited production handmade garments and accessories. Each collection reflects meticulous research, involving collaboration with local artisans and communities to preserve cultural traditions.

OUR COLLABORATION WITH SICILIAN ARTISANAL COMMUNITIES

Each collection reflects meticulous research, involving collaboration with local artisans and communities to preserve cultural traditions.

Mia and Sabrina have travelled extensively across Sicily forming relationships with these communities and studying firsthand their impeccable craftsmanship.

THE SISTER TEAM

Mia Ciauri, founder and creative director of Via Ciauri, is a current fashion design student at Istituto Marangoni. After spending 2022 studying in Florence, Italy and learning the way of Italian artisans, their unique craftsmanship and the beautiful Tuscan fabrics, Mia has continued her studies in London specialising in luxury womenswear.

Sabrina Ciauri, founder and CEO of Via Ciauri, is a Global Masters of Management student at London School of Economics & Bocconi after graduating from University College London where she studied Politics & International Relations. Her specialisation is the Politics of Fashion and she believes strongly in the power of creative industries as a force for positive change.

OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP

We design, pattern cut, sew and source our pieces together after training with a renowned London Soho tailor since 2013. We have also undertaken courses at both undergraduate and master's levels in fashion design, illustration, pattern cutting, entrepreneurship and business administration.

Each of our garments are limited edition, designed and crafted thoughtfully to tell the story of each of our collections while allowing our customers to feel timelessly elegant. By providing a range of products from ready-to-wear to custom made, we aim to be as accessible as possible to our consumers while remaining authentic to our unique craftsmanship.

We aim to support and collaborate with other artisans like ourselves along our journey and work alongside nonprofits to give back to the people and places that inspire us.

OUR VALUES

Our brand values are rooted in our family’s belief in ‘LKG’: Love, Kindness and Generosity. These three words inspire empathy in all aspects of our work; from our personal approach with customers ensuring they are satisfied with the final product, to the business relationships we build with our suppliers, partners and associates. We believe in order to live up to these values we must be accountable, authentic and adaptable in our approaches to design and entrepreneurship.

INCLUSIVITY

The fashion industry is inherently flawed when it comes to inclusivity in terms of size, ethnicity, gender and sexuality. At Via Ciauri we believe in taking steps towards being more inclusive in our designs so our customers can feel heard and empowered no matter who they are. While our sizing adheres to common grading systems in terms of the letters used, we have created an accurate size chart based on our garments' measurements.

SUSTAINABILITY

At Via Ciauri we aim to provide our customers with environmentally conscious garments. The industry is not sustainable, but we can take steps in the right direction. Here are two of our key steps:

1. We focus on small-quantity in-house production to minimise our carbon footprint, while providing customers with limited-edition garments.

2. We are a zero-waste company, reusing all our fabrics and materials cleverly incorporating scrap fabrics into designs.

TRANSPARENCY

Our country of origin is the U.K. where most designing, sewing, and embellishing takes place. However, we are currently importing our fabrics, structural elements and some packaging from outside the U.K. We hope to become solely reliant on local and Italian sustainable suppliers and partnerships by 2026.
